The Coral have just made Camden Rocks festival one of the most exciting London events this summer. The 'Pass It On' Liverpudlians are a faultless psychedelic live band.

Their latest album, Distance Inbetween, showed a more visceral, Krautrock side to the band that departed from the haunted seaside music of their previous album. For James Skelly it was all about pushing the drums to the forefront of the mix and allowing the rhythms to invite transcendence in the listener.

Hearing this material live truly will suit the rock festival as it's fairly heavy compared to some of the more famous hits they have in their arsenal. Announcing The Coral is a huge statement of intent for the festival and it's expanding massively this year and now has KOKO has one of the venues it uses.

It’s now 25 venue-strong line up with 250 bands on the bill. Last year’s event was a huge success with headliners The Cribs and sold out completely.

In addition to The Coral, Reverend and The Makers have also joined the line-up alongside The Damned, Milburn, The Rifles, The King Blues & many more. For any rock/indie/punk fan this is an event not to miss.
