Summer Series at Somerset House will host some truly world-class acts from the UK, US, Jamaica, Mali and Lebanon this year, which is

Held 6-16 July in the heart of the capital, it's easily one of the most gorgeous settings to watch a gig in the world. Whether you're sitting out on the terrace overlooking the Thames, or in front of the stage, hemmed in by the neo-classical walls, it's a great place to be.

The line-up is curated to emphasise the majesty this location with the chilled out jazz of Robert Glasper Experiment, and the mutant genre clusterfuck of brilliance that is Ninja Tune's Cinematic Orchestra.

If you're after something more upbeat, Warpaint are slightly more urgent sounding than the stoner pop act they used to be. But the most energetic of the lot will surely be Damian "Jr Gong" Marley - his live sets are mind-blowing as he dishes out hits like 'Welcome To Jamrock.

Meanwhile Beirut band Mashrou Leila sound like an enticing proposition, and even if they're one of the lesser known acts on this line-up, they do sound like one of the more interesting. The press release describes then as "stirring a musical rebellion in the Middle East with a blend of melancholic ballads and raucous anthems. Their potent mix of pop and politics is changing the tune of Arab music and gaining them new fans worldwide." Certainly one not to miss.

Goldfrapp, Sonhoy Blues, Norah Jones, Tom Misch, Foster The People, and Birdy complete the line-up. Tickets will be available here from Friday 24 March.
