Liam Gallagher is gearing up to ignite his solo career, starting with some important UK dates to get the world warmed up.

Commencing on 30 May in Manchester’s O2 Ritz, Liam Gallagher will be taking his solo career across Europe, Indonesia and Asia over a long summer filled with festival appearances.

Teasing his new material on Twitter the night before, Liam Gallagher kept his eager fans waiting overnight for new material.

The Oasis-legend released his debut solo single ‘Wall Of Glass’ yesterday (25 May), with hopes of an album release later this year. Liam Gallagher also revealed his collaboration with Adele’s producer Greg Kurstin, who Liam hopes will benefit his album.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Liam Gallagher said, “I didn’t write Live Forever but as soon as I sang it, I made it my own. I class myself as a rock’n’roll singer who writes the odd tune now and again. And that is it. I’m not going out saying I’m Bob Dylan”.

His positivity toward his part-time songwriting seems as though he’s finally in a good place, and the Gallagher brother went on to say that Adele’s ‘Hello’ producer will be a big help, “But I can’t write those fucking big songs. I’m limited. My verses are up there, but I just can’t do the next bit.”

With no set release date for Liam Gallagher’s solo album apart from a vague ‘before the end of the year’ from Warner, ‘Wall Of Glass’ (Out June 1) is the only listenable evidence of Liam Gallagher and his solo career debut.

The Mancunian icon will be stopping at Manchester first, raising awareness for those affected by the concert bombing that happened earlier this week. All proceeds will be going to the Manchester Evening News fund that is raising money for the victims.

Despite the optimistic outlook, it seemed he was having a bad day when he spoke to NME. “I’m not arsed where it goes. I just fucking wanna get back doing what I do, less of the fucking drama. I’ve had four years of fucking private-life bullshit, which is all my doing, and I want to get back to doing my job, playing rock’n’roll to the people who like it”.

With the Liam Gallagher short tour kicking off in just a few days, the four dates will see him stop at Manchester, London, Dublin and Glasgow before taking on Europe throughout June and July. You can find all tour dates below. Check here for tickets
