Stormzy has joined forces with girl group Little Mix in the racy video for their new single 'Power'.

It marks a new level of mainstream crossover for the Grime superstar, who released his critically-acclaimed debut album Gang Signs and Prayer, in March. The 23-year-old delivers his verse with typically confident conviction shown getting his hair cut in the clip, as Little Mix — a four-piece made up of X Factor contestants Perrie Edwards, 23, Jesy Nelson, 25, Jade Thirlwall, 24 and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 25 — provocatively parade the streets during a peace protest.

Touted as a new Girl Power anthem for a band posited as the 21st Century Spice Girls, the group are also seen atop menacing black motorbikes Power is the fourth single from Little Mix’s album Glory Days. The collaboration has divided fans of the group on Twitter, who have urged the band to stop featuring other artists on their songs.

One user wrote: “They should stop featuring people in their singles all the time they don’t need it and in my opinion they will ruin the best & powerful song.”

The release of Power's music video, which you can watch on VEVO here, comes as Little Mix are currently on their Summer Shout Out run of gigs.

After supporting Ariana Grande on her Dangerous Woman tour for its US leg, the band will next embark on their The Glory Days tour across the UK and Europe.
