Details have been announced of #Game4Grenfell a charity football match to raise funds for those affected by the Grenfell Tower disaster, with a host of music stars joining ex-professional footballers on September 2.

The likes of Jarvis Cocker, Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons, Olly Murs, and James Bay will feature in the game, which takes place at Loftus Road in West London, home of Championship football team Queen’s Park Rangers.

They will be joined by a host of ex-professional footballers, including former England goalkeeper David Seaman, the Premier League’s all-time record goal scorer Alan Shearer, Les Ferdinand, Paul Merson and more.

Current Stoke City forward Peter Crouch will also appear. A renowned music-lover, the famously towering striker is currently presenting his own show on Radio X.

He was once spotted crowdsurfing at a Kasabian gig in a now-viral video, and the Leicester band’s Serge Pizzorno will be among his teammates at the charity match.

Completing the musical side of the line-up are Richard Ashcroft, Tinie Tempah and Wretch 32, while rugby player Ben Cohen, actors Damian Lewis, Jamie Dornan, Tamer Hassan and TV presenter Ben Shepherd will also feature.

Tickets will be made available for free for victims of the Grenfell Tower fire, for which the death toll will not be known until the end of this year, as well as others in the local community. You can buy tickets or make a donation at #Game4Grenfell’s website here.
