More about:

Nottingham troubadour Jake Bugg is back in action with a new album, a lead single from it, and some tour dates.

This will be the fourth studio album from Nottingham born Jake Bugg. Recorded in Nashville it will be available for purchase on 1 September this year. The lead single ‘How Soon The Dawn’ is a James Taylor west coast ballad and shows a more at ease side of the young rebellious singer.

The list of musicians that Bugg worked with on this record is envy inspiring to say the least. Members of the American Sound Studio’s house band, The Memphis Boy backed the 23 year old for eleven songs. These notorious musicians have previously worked with Elvis on such famous tracks as ‘In The Ghetto’ and ‘Suspicious Minds’, as well as with Wilson Picket, Aretha Franklin and Dionne Warwick.

“They’re old guys but they’re amazing,” Jake commented. ‘It was a mad vibe being from England and meeting these absolute legends and then cutting some tracks with them.”

The names don't stop there… Noah Cyrus (sister of Miley) makes an appearance on the record sharing the vocals with Bugg on the song ‘Waiting.’

Bugg will also be playing a series of intimate shows, without his backing band, around the UK to promote the new album and to test the material. Here is a list of those dates. Check here for tickets.
