Gigwise are off to Sundown Festival this weekend to catch some of the best new music and catch some household names. Tickets to the festival are still available here.

In terms of what to see, the four artists below are undoubted highlights. And the playlist represents the diversity and strength of music on the bill of a festival that has its finger on the pulse. It also has the fine fortune of being held in Nowrich, which is one of England's best, yet most underrated cities.

Giggs

Today (Friday 1 September) is open exclusively for campers, and rapper Giggs is guaranteed to steal the show. He showed his mettle for headlining festivals when he took the late afternoon shot at Reading and Leeds main stage this weekend. He delivered a short, sharp, hyper-energetic set with deep sub bass to rattle the dancefloor.

His success this year follows his dream 2016 where he bust out of being a highly-acclaimed outsider to one of the biggest stars in the UK. Drake invited him to guest on his More Life mixtape, which helped. Riding that wave, Landlord, that includes a Stormzy guest appearance, went on to reach number two in the charts. Live, he's phenomenal and it feels in spite of success, he's stuck to his guns, stayed on an indie label and has an uncompromising appoach that'll be looked back upon with respect for years to come.

Kurupt FM

When the gates open tomorrow, Kurupt FM will be the funnest gig to see. You can't go wrong watching people show their love for Steves on decks and MC Grindah's spoof-y arrogance, and Chabuddy G - the fan favourite - just being ridiculous. Although they're Britain's best comedy this decade, they spin jungle and garage with surprising finesse.

AJ Tracey

The catchy-as-hell grime MC AJ Tracey will make the pit floor spark like a punk gig did in 1977. Similarly to Giggs, he owes some debt to Drake after support he gave to the song 'Thiago Silva' that he did with rapper Dave. But AJ Tracey isn't going to need many further celebrity endorsements as he's catapulted to the mainstream and looks set to remain thanks to his unshakable talent.

Stefflon Don

The other absolutely unmissable act of the weekend is Stefflon Don. The East London-based rapper, who melds hip-hop with dancehall and honeyed vocals, showed the world what she could do with a visceral rendition of her single '16 Shots' on Jools Holland - it was subsequently ranked in the top ten sets of the series.

Since then she's gone from strength to strength with performances at Glastonbury and Lowlands Festival - and many more - receiving gushing reviews. Her lyrics and crowd banter are all about fighting inequality - especailly for women. She's an especially powerful personality capable of galvanising change. If you want to transcendent show feel part of a group of people who are carving a better world and making eclectic, original music, then Stefflon Don is the way.
