Tickets are here for the UK and Ireland tour of Dublin three piece The Script (Friday September 15, 9:30am).

The tour is kicking off in Leeds on 2 February before heading to Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, Liverpool, Nottingham, Birmingham, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Cardiff and wrapping up in London on February 24.

Earlier this month the lads scored their fourth number one album with Freedom Child, seeing off stiff competition from Brooklyn’s LCD Soundsystem and OMD.

The new record sees the band addressing the grand political narratives of our age – on ‘Divided States’ singer O’Donoghue, a former judge on two seasons of ‘The Voice’ – laments for the ‘…divided states of America, divided states of the world / If we don’t all stand together we’ll fall.’

There’s also room for oldschool romance, as on ‘Mad Love’, and even a worthy stab at EDM on ‘No Man Is An Island’ that should go down a storm live.

Lead single 'Rain' – a lively, R&B-inflected number – went straight into the Top 10 on iTunes, and has been playlisted by Radio 1, Radio 2, Capital and earlier this month was the third most played song on national radio. It’s also been added to over 300 playlists on Spotify, and the video has been viewed over 10 million times on YouTube.
