So what your life has been lacking is some Southern-fried hard rock with a side of groovy boogie, right? Arriving in the nick of time, then, are Tyler Bryant And The Shakedown to chuck a whole bunch of rock in your direction with their new single ‘Heartland’.
Having just signed to the newly-launched Sankefarm label, the Nashville-based rockers have been honing their craft touring with some of the biggest names in rock – Guns N’Roses, AC/DC, Deep Purple and The Who have all taken these boys on the road with them.
The band’s self-titled album is out on November 3 and ‘Heartland’ offers a taste of what to expect. This is downhome rock’n’roll and would you expect anything from a band that has toured with these titans of rock? And on top of that, Tyler Bryant And The Shakedown also feature the guitar skills of Graham Whitfird, the son Aerosmith plankspanker Brad Whitford, and that rock DNA sure is running through his veins.
The band have just wound up touring with Guns N’Roses and The Who so we expect some of that magic must have rubbed off on them. No UK dates as yet, but you’ll hear about them as soon as we do.
