Former Morcheeba singer Daisy Martey is suing band founder Paul Godfrey for damages – accusing him of groping her breasts.

Martey claims Godfrey cupped her boobs twice, attempted to kiss her and touch her bottom while also making lewd comments.

He apparently called her a “cheap tart” and an uneducated working class girl with a posh voice and middle class aspirations according to the Sun.

Martey was sacked from Morcheeba last year after she felt unwell before a concert which was subsequently cancelled. She was replaced by Jody Sternberg.

The High Court writ also claims that Godfrey said to her “Look at your tits” and “Nice to see your looking half decent for a change”.

The proceedings also include Ross Godfrey, who Martey is suing for breach of contract and defamation.
