In a contradictory outburst Blur’s Alex James has hailed Damon Albarn as both a ‘genius’ and a ‘cunt.’
Although there’s clearly some animosity between himself and Mr Albarn, the bassist believes that his Gorillaz creation is inspired.
As contact music quotes, he said: "I fucking like Gorillaz. I mean, obviously Damon's a cunt, but they're great.
"If Gorillaz were an undeserved success, that would be one thing. But it's great. He's worked so fucking hard on it. I mean, he's a genius."
