The Streets’ Mike Skinner is “gutted” after being forced to pull out of the New York Marathon at the last minute.

The rapper has been in training for months to get in shape for the event this weekend, but suffered a torn muscle this week and will not be able to compete.

He laments on his MySpace site, “I can't fucking believe it. I've torn a muscle and I can't run in New York this weekend. Typical. Been training for months and the first time I hurt myself is a week before the race!”

The race will take place tomorrow, sans Skinner.
