More about: The Triffids

If 1985 was the year of The Triffids then the past twelve months has most definitely been the renaissance. With the re-release of three of their seminal albums – ‘Born Sandy Devotional’, ‘Calenture’ and ‘In The Pines’ – via Domino a whole new generation of music lovers are discovering just what made the Perth via Sydney natives so great.

To show yet more of our love for the band (we’ve awarded at least a four and a half rating to all of the aforementioned re-releases) we’ve teamed up with Domino to offer you the chance to win a truly brilliant prize.

Fans will already know the video to the track ‘Save What You Can’ which features on ‘Calenture’, you can watch it here if not. Well we have one Steve Keene’s paintings (right) from said video to give away to one lucky winner.

The video was filmed in Steve’s Brooklyn apartment in 2006, in recent years he has also collaborated with the Silver Jews, Pavement, The Apples in Stereo, Soul Coughing, Dave Matthews Band and Merzbow to create album art.
