More about:

TOUTS have released their new single ‘Asleep’ today.

The first new music from the band to be released this year, the Derry three piece have enjoyed a legion of new fans thanks to high profile support slots alongside Liam Gallagher, Kasabian and Paul Weller.

With ‘Asleep’ said to be “packed full of angst and paranoia in equal measure,” the band have said the track will set the tone for what fans can expect to hear later this year.

Speaking about the track, the band have said: “We don’t lead structured lives. Sometimes you just have to laugh at how ridiculous things can get. It’s just like we’re in Grand Theft Auto or a dream.”

They continue: “Days just merge into each other and you don’t know what the fuck is happening.”

With clear echoes of The Clash and The Libertines, their latest is made in the frenetic vein of their earlier work but delivered with increased confidence and control.

Releasing their debut single ‘Sold Out’ last year, the band completed a debut headline tour and supported a wealth of acts thanks to their frenetic politically-charged punk which resonated with many.

This May, TOUTS will be touring both as a headline act and as a support act for Blossoms. They will also perform two gigs at Brighton’s Great Escape festival later this month.
