Dutch, Belgian and German police are searching for a white van

One person has been killed and three people have been left injured after being hit by a van at the Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf, Holland.

It has not been established if the incident was an accident or deliberate, but Dutch police are searching for a small white Fiat Doblo van. They have been joined in their efforts for Belgian and German police.

The BBC reports that the incident took place at the around 4am (2am BST) this morning (18 June). It has yet to be established whether the collision was accidental or deliberate.

Writing on Facebook, the event’s organisers have said that they are “deeply shocked” at what happened and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The incident occurred after headliner Bruno Mars brought the three-day event to a close. Other acts taking part included Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. The collision is understood to have taken place close to one of the festival’s campsites.

An emergency hotline has been setup by the municipality to assist people seeking information. In the Netherlands, the phone number is 0251-260960. Police have closed off several roads around the festival and campsite. A police helicopter was been deployed over the scene.
