More about: Foo FightersDave Grohl
Affable multi-instrumentalist beardo Dave Grohl has a documentary coming out later this month – called ‘Play’ – and to promote it he just released a fairly kickass trailer which shows him playing drums, bass, a bunch of guitars and god knows what else in a room AT THE SAME TIME.

Go on, have a good old look:
Apparently this will all feed in to a 25 (twenty-fucking-five) minute long new epic solo song we’ll all get to hear, and watch him make, and pretend to record in split screen.
It was filmed in black and white by Brandon Trost, who also did those peerless modern comic classics The Disaster Artist, and This is The End. Word on the street is they’ll even be an interactive element to complement the final release.
“Watching my kids start to play music and learn to sing or play drums, it brings me back to the time when I was their age listening to albums, learning from listening,” he said of the project, infuriatingly lovely man that he is.
“And when I take my kids to the place where they take their lessons, I see these rooms full of children that are really pushing themselves to figure this out.
“Even now, as a 49-year-old man, I’m still trying to figure it out… it’s not something that you ever truly master. You’re always chasing the next challenge, and you’re always trying to find a way to improve on what you’ve learned.”
Well anyway, on August 10 you’ll get to see Dave Grohl playing with himself.
