Clockenflap, Hong Kong’s biggest annual music and arts festival, has announced a wide ranging array of big and upcoming music names in its first release of confirmations.

New York indie legends Interpol and former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne head the list of talent set to play the three day event at Central Harbourfront from November 9-11. But the comprehensive line up appears to have something for everyone. Wolf Alice, Shame and The Vaccines head up a strong showing for British guitar bands, while Bodega and Brooklyn neo-psychedelic trio Sunflower Bean join fellow New Yorkers Interpol on the bill and Byrne makes his first Hong appearance since 2009.
Fans of R&B, drum and bass and electronica are also catered for the by the inclusion of five-time Grammy nominee R&B star Khalid, making his Hong Kong debut; Mercury Prize-winning Bristolian drum and bass don Roni Size, and much celebrated electronic improviser Caribou. Dan Snaith aka Caribou leads the way with a vibrant selection of Canadian talent on the bill, also including Toronto-based dream-pop darlings Always and electronic duo Blue Hawaii, recently in evidence in the UK charming crowds at the Visions Festival in East London last weekend.
Taiwanese singer-songwriter Anpu, meanwhile, returning to the event after a triumphant showing on 2014, heads up an equally impressive offering of Asian talent at what is designed to be the cream of ‘east-meets-west’ culture.
