Texan garage rockers signed to Heavenly Night Beats have trailed the 18 January 2019 release of their fourth studio album, Myth Of A Man.

The announcement comes with instant grat track 'Her Cold Cold Heart’, that you can listen to below.

The album is the follow up to their remarkable 2016 album Who Sold My Generation? which we talked to lead singer Blackwell about here

So first things first. Fronted by Danny Lee Blackwell, Night Beats’ new album has been helmed by no less a figure than The Black KeysDan Auerbach, a man who knows a thing or two about production (just check out his work on Dr John’s Locked Down album or Black Diamond Heavies’ A Touch Of Someone Else’s Class for evidence).

Joining them is a crack squad of battle-worn session musicians who’ve worked with artists as heavyweight as Aretha Franklin and Elvis Presley.

So no pressure, then? “I was just humbled by being accepted,” said Backwell, “Big hearts all around.”

And what of ‘Her Cold Cold Heart’? What we have here is some mighty fine Americana made up with all the finest ingredients to cook up a spicy and shimmering musical gumbo: acoustic guitars, delicate percussion, tremolo, impassioned vocals and a huge dollop of heartache. It’s oddly redolent of Arctic Monkeys from the days when they were still on first name terms with Mssrs Melody and Tunes.

The band returns for an 11-date UK and European tour that will in at London, Glasgow and Berlin among others. Check here for ticket information.
