Budding singer-songwriter James Leonard Hewitson has given us a taste of his up and coming album Only The Noise Will Save Me, out this autumn, with raucous lead single ‘Deader’.

The track is permeated with an infectious indie-pop soundscape while Hewitson’s witty and provocative lyricism takes the sound to a level that differs from your conventional indie anthem, it’s a shining example of the artist’s unbridled potential.

Influenced by the likes of Gang of Four and Jonathon Richman, the slacker-pop newcomer has birthed an album that’s bursting with energetic and thought-provoking material, exploring topics such as modern day uncertainty, mental health and pop psychology. The track introducing the record, ‘Deader’, is itself insanely contagious with the chorus expelling all of that pleasingly indie-rock energy while it’s ironic lyricism gives the track an amusing twist.
