Las Vegas’ The Killers capped off a hit-laden set on Saturday night at Glastonbury by introducing Pet Shop Boys and their guitar hero Johnny Marr to the Pyramid Stage. Watch the clips on Gigwise below.
Mid-set, the band teased in a few bars of their single ‘Human’ before switching into the full cut ‘Bling (Confessions Of A King)’. Little did we know at the time that the snippet was teasing something sensational to come: ‘Human’ was to be performed with Neil Tennant’s Pet Shop Boys.

Pet Shop Boys came on for the encore, minutes after the big screen was lit with Jimmy Carr’s face – Carr, who made a cameo appearance helping out the roadies with the changeover, is a mate of The Killers; he was back stage for The Killers at Glastonbury in 2017.
Pet Shop Boys and Killers started with ‘You Were Always On My Mind’ and followed it by performing a full rendition of ‘Human’.
When Pet Shop Boys exited the stage, Brandon Flowers smiled, meeting his heroes on this occasion went pretty well.

Just when we thought that was enough to make good on Brandon Flowers’ promise that they were going to pay off – “There are a lot of great bands playing right now and thanks for banking on us. I have a feeling we’re going to pay off”, said Flowers at the beginning of a set – he doubled up the fun by bringing on Johnny Marr.
The jangly intro to ‘This Charming Man’ felt like a massive moment and it was followed by ‘Mr Brightside’ and Johnny Marr stayed to play guitar. All around us flares were being lit, people were on shoulders and the euphoric energy of Glastonbury felt the strongest it’d done all festival so far.
