It’s a stark contrast to their previous releases in the run up to Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 2

After releasing epic singles ‘Black Bull’ and ‘The Runner’ over the last two months, Foals continue along the road to the release of Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 2. Fresh off being spun on Zane Lowe’s decks on his Beats1 show, ‘Into The Surf’ is now out in the world for fans and critics to devour.

‘Into The Surf’ is an immediate juxtaposition to their last release ‘The Runner’ which we described as "The Ironman of singles", showing Foals’ slower side.

Atmospheric piano and scintillating synths set the tone for the richly textured track. It’s ethereal and haunting, played in an unhurried manner, as if you’re floating away on the tide. The soundscape is smoky, serene and melancholy; Yannis’ delayed vocal arcs and swoops over the anchoring piano lines, as if Foals have taken the plunge underwater and found serenity in the dark depths of the oceans, giving themselves in to the surf.
