More about:

Estonian artist Anna Kaneelina has spun a silken web of psychedelic-tinged experimental sounds on release 'What Have I Done For Love'. Beautifully intimate but wholly universal, the song has a new video, out now.

Kaneelina’s music is barefaced and honest. ‘What Have I Done For Love’ has been plucked from her debut album of the same name, and reflects on lessons of love, fear, acceptance, growth, trust, letting go and mortality.

Battling postpartum depression has opened up the road to self discovery for Anna which has, in turn, become the creative drive for this new material. The lyrics focus on fragile introspection, with sounds that are kissed with psychedelia and passion: a beguiling combination of smoky psych and ethereal pop that has the power to entrance. Hear it and see the new video:

Strings flicker and percussion pulsates around her strong vocal, as the sound washes between soft acoustics and epic tension-building crescendos. On the song's themes, Kaneelina explains "you learn to understand yourself, love and life. How everything is love – we can choose love and do every little thing through love. Love is the air."

The beautiful accompanying video directed by Jekaterina Abramova make the sounds almost tangible by the flowing red fabric that wraps itself around Kaneelina’s form, flickering in the gentle breeze against the beautiful blue sky.

Anna Kaneelina has played Tallinn Music Week several times, and as a solo artist this year. She played a show in Budapest last night (14 November).
