The intimate gig will take place on 1 December at London's O2 Academy Islington - a sizable underplay for both Shame and Sleeper - and will support mental health charities CALM and Mind with ticket sales.
Chris Meredith was a live agent and director of Neverworld Music Festival with friends from all parts of the music industry. He was responsible for bringing Britpop band Sleeper back after their twenty year hiatus, and was also friends with whenyoung. Shame and IDER both played his Neverworld Festival.
Sleeper commented, saying that: “Chris Meredith was a big part of the Sleeper story...He was an absolute gem, a champion of female artists, and we’ll miss him hugely.”
CEO of CALM, Simon Gunning said: "we're proud to partner with ATC Live to honour the memory of Chris Meredith...donations contribute towards the operation of CALM's free and anonymous helpline and webchat which are open every day, 5pm-midnight."
Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Tuesday 19 November and will cost £20. £6 from every ticket sold will be donated each to CALM and Mind. The gig will take place on 1 December at O2 Academy Islington, London.
