Pure, furious and carnal bluesy rock'n'roll

More about:

Melting vocals and acoustic-folk descend into bluesy rock'n'roll on brand new Ferris & Sylvester song 'I Dare You.' They share their moody new video for the cut today, and you can see it on Gigwise first.

"I dare you take one more step", Ferris sings atop bone-shaking riffs that evoke the likes of bands like the White Stripes, Royal Blood and The Kills. It's the chorus for a tune that starts off in a comforting acoustic key, lulling its lover into a false sense of security before lunging for the jugular.

The accompanying video flips between the two musicians in woozy close-up shots and shredding in a bare, strobe-lit room. See it:

On the new visuals, the duo said: "It felt right to create something bold and vibrant...the song is angry and agressive and we were keen to throw all of that at it. It certainly shows a darker side of us."

Ferris & Sylvester have darkened their sound over the past year through work with Pink Floyd producer Michael Rendall, and have been rewarded with the award for 'Emerging Artist Award' at the UK Americana Awards 2020.

The pair will play SXSW again in the new year, and will also have a debut album ready for release next year. They support Jade Bird on tour across Europe in February and March.
