Newcastle new music festival Hit The North has announced further artists for its 2020 edition. The one-day event, which takes place on Sunday 3 May, has this morning announced The Amazons, Dream Wife, The Wytches and more.

BLOXX have also been confirmed to join the party, which is already told to be hosting DMA's, The Magic Gang - who are fresh back on the scene with their new single 'Think' - Fickle Friends and Working Men's Club.

More names added today: Catholic Action, Chinatown Slalom, The Goa Express, Zooni and Peaness.

The debut festival flyer promises new venues alongside its helping of new music. Previous instalments have made a bustling gig haven of Newcastle, and have hosted names such as Metronomy, The Horrors, Jungle and local boy Sam Fender. 

Named after The Fall song, Hit The North will enter its fourth instalment in 2020. As usual, it will take place across Newcastle in various different venues. You can get tickets from here
