The nominees for this year's Heavy Music Awards have been announced. Leading the pack are Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot and Rammstein with four nominations apiece. The public vote is open now, with an awards ceremony taking place at London's Kentish Town Forum on 21 May.
Bring Me The Horizon - whose album Amo wowed us with its mix of "euphoric synth pop and...rip-roaring heavy rock" - have been nominated for Best Album and Best UK Band as well as Best Video for 'In The Dark' and Best Album Artwork.
Elsewhere, Babymetal's Metal Galaxy received a nomination for Best Album, as well as Dinosaur Pile Up's Celebrity Mansions and Tool's epic Fear Inoculum.
Further Best UK Band nominees include Architects, While She Sleeps and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. In the Best UK Breakthrough Band category, Nova Twins and Cold Years received nods.
