More about:

Beyond The Pale is the name of the debut JARV IS album, out May 1. Revealed this evening with a new single and accompanying video 'House Music All Night Long', the album from Jarvis Cocker's latest project has announced itself with great fanfare.

'House Music All Night Long' is a slinky alternative cut that incorporates the smart lyrics of Pulp-era Cocker with some seriously smoky electronics. It arrives with a very 007 video of Cocker undulating in a kaleidoscope of clubland colours and curling cigarette smoke, as well as some images of microwaves and fridges - as one YouTube commenter notes: "the music video screams working class James Bond."

See it and hear the single:

JARV IS was formed to play a show at the Sigur Ros Iceland festival back in 2017. Musicians on harp, keyboards, violin and synth join Cocker and your meat and potatoes guitar band instruments for a seriously exciting sound.

Heady and unique, JARV IS releases, including 'Must I Evolve?' are yet another example of Cocker's endless genius. 'House Music All Night Long' refuses to be pinned down, sliding from dream pop, to alternative via EDM. Beyond The Pale will no doubt be a great addition to Cocker's discography.
