Existential dread, but make it universal

Amid all of these livestream concerts, of which we have begun to review, a boom in livestreams of other kinds also comes to the fore. Reporting from her home, Christine and the Queens last night (18 March) spoke to Charli XCX on Instagram Live, both documenting their lives in self-isolation.

Beginning with a neat demonstration of some of the app's best filters, Christine and the Queens welcomes Charli XCX, wearing a pom pom-adorned ski mask. She's on day five of self-isolation with friends and a boyfriend while Chris is also indoors.

The pair's discussion leads to existential ends, of course. How could they not? Seeing well-known faces (or one at least) discussing the same fears as everyone else is a comforting reminder that everyone is in exactly the same position right now.

The pair question the timing of Glastonbury's cancellation, throw shade at Atlantic Records, analyse the difficulty workaholics will have in this time and share the things that the artists have had to cancel in wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Both artists hint at wanting to write albums...

Hear the whole conversation all day by going to Christine's instagram and watching her live story.
