Newcomer Molly Payton has shared a brand new single today to announce her second EP Porcupine. 'Warm Body' is Payton's sixth release to date and is the first to feature instrumentation from her new live band Francobollo.

Wounded and defiant, Payton's vocals strike a balance between Sorry, Alexandra Savior and Mellah. Francobollo's mournful indie backing track is the perfect, ever-morphing backdrop to the drama.

"He's got a problem so he's just my type" Payton sings, confessing to her love of soft boys and always having a crush on the go:

Porridge Radio producer Oli Barton-Wood worked with Payton on the track, which she says "is about looking for comfort in people when you’re lonely and letting yourself make mistakes."

"Recording ‘Porcupine’ was easily one of the best times of my life" she said of the full EP sessions.

Porcupine arrives 14 October via TMWRK Records.
