Today (9 September) Pregoblin are sharing their brand new single ‘Gangsters’. A blend of wonky pop and sparkling synths, the duo (Alex Sebley and Jessica Winter) say: “The song is about moral ambiguity and the idolisation of outlaws and gangsters. On a personal level it's about struggling to pay the rent and using loan companies.”

To accompany the track is a visual homage to Western movies, the music video is a collaboration between director Niall Trask, Pregoblin and Erin Lawrie. They go on to explain: “Two burnt and dusty riders travel a forest landscape. Their mis-mash provisions of tinned food, magazines, vapes, antique firearms, tracksuit bottoms and handmade bin liner suits suggest an imagined chaotic and lawless timeline. They share a tin of condensed milk after a shoot-out at Nour Cash n' Carry Brixton.” Watch the video below:

On the pair’s debut single ‘Combustion’, we said: “The impressive, layered instrumentation features a prominent, clean piano chord progression that conjures a spacious atmosphere that sits beautifully on top of the infectious groove. This could well become one of the most loved indie releases of the year.”

‘Gangsters’ is out now.
