More about: The Jacques
The Jacques have today (9 September) announced the release of their debut album and shared a new track. ‘Do Me For A Fool’ is a different sound for the indie collective as they blend dreamy guitar lines with an infectiously pop-infused undercurrent; it’s a laid back musing on romance.
This comes with the news that their debut album The Four Five Three will be released on 6 November via Modern Sky. Listen to ‘Do Me For A Fool’ below:
Regarding the single singer Finn O’ Brien says: “The lyrics make it kind of a love song; a situation in which you know someone isn’t good for you in the long term because they have you wrapped around their finger, but you’re a bit hooked on it in a kind of ‘sugar rush’ way.”
The Four Five Three tracklist:
- Born Sore
- Kiss The Pharaoh
- Swift Martin
- Do Me For A Fool
- The Ugliest Look
- Count On Me Pt.1
- Tiny Fuzzy Parasite
- Cradle My Heart
- Count On Me Pt.2
- Holy Mamacita
- Hendrik
- Taste The Mexican Sun
- God’s Lick
We spoke to The Jacques back in 2017 about how being a young band affects them in the music industry. ”The Jacques, then, are a band who clearly want to take the world on alone; in the healthiest way, it’s obvious they want to be taken seriously.”
The Four Five Three is released on 6 November 2020 via Modern Sky.
