More about:

Eels have confirmed that their much-anticipated new album Earth to Dora is incoming. Announced with bouncy new single 'Are We Alright Again' today, the LP is due at the end of October.

Day-dreaming and optimistic, the new track has a definite pre-pandemic air about it: and indeed, this is a record that was captured before the onset of Covid-19.

Vaguely wonky and sunnily delirious, it's a rolling drumbeat caught in a spinning guitar cycle on a really, really good day:

Recent surprise singles 'Who You Say You Are' and 'Baby Let's Make It Real' will also appear on Earth to Dora, which will be the band's first full-length in four years.

In all three releases so far, Eels have touched on cautious hopefulness, the sensation of burgeoning excitement and total happiness. It's looking to be a delightful release...

“These songs came about just before the pandemic hit and changed everything. I’m hoping they can be, maybe kind of soothing or something" E said of the record.
