Bristol's Swallow Cave have dropped a brand new cut today - 'Cold Moon' is an introspective and beautiful look at mental illness. It's also a neat introduction for many to a new and promising band.

Dream-like guitars and sweet vocals make a positive, almost Britpop bed for the subject of painful thoughts to lie in. Set at night, the song certainly has the sound of a dark bedroom, though its light touch with instruments act as a night light: Swallow Cave handle the subject with grace and lush songwriting.

This one is for fans of Marika Hackman, Goat Girl and The Big Moon.

"Cold Moon is about feeling really low and going to the darkest places in your mind, which for me is often late at night, and then the next morning feeling everything with kind of heightened senses and disbelief that my mind could have gotten that low the night before, but then inevitably goes back to again" lead singer Polly iterated.

The quartet released 'Nostalgia' earlier this year, and The Shoe Demos in 2017.
