More about: Psychedelic Porn Crumpets
Psychedelic Porn Crumpets continue to tease their new album SHYGA! The Sunlight Mound today with the characteristically batshit 'The Terrors'. A little heavier than usual, it's an interesting direction for the psych-alchemists to take.
Chugging, indie guitars and a crooning vocal-line to match, on 'The Terrors', Psychedelic Porn Crumpets seem to have taken The Last Shadow Puppets and put them through a wormhole. Though the template has shifted slightly, this is still pure PPC: technicolour, finger-bleeding craziness.
'The Terrors', frontman Jack McEwan explains is “the term given to the cocktail of dejected emotions that usually occur between Sunday night and Tuesday morning as an unwanted side effect following a long and debaucherous weekend. What goes up eventually plummets into mere oblivion, infinity to death."
"I wanted to write a track that paid homage to where Porn Crumpets began, back in our drug-ridden cave of a share house at Hector Street" he added.
We caught up with them as part of out Gigwise Pintcast Pub Crawl at The Great Escape last year. They were also one of our picks for the Best 17 Artists in Australia right now. Read it here.
