A little treat, for Christmas: Courtney Barnett has announced a livestream from the Royal Exhibition Building in Australia's Melbourne. The show will stream at different times to accomodate several time zones.

From Where I'm Standing: Live from the Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne was announced this afternoon by Barnett on Twitter. Posted with a beautifully-shot visual of the stream, she wrote that the event would be "a special show".

"I'd like to acknowledge that this performance takes place on stolen land," she added. "The Traditional Owners of this land are the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation and i pay respect to their Elders past and present."

As Melbourne was in lockdown for 100 days, we can at least hope that Courtney wrote some fresh new material while lying low. 

Most recently, she performed a cover of Gillian Welch's 'Everything Is Free' alongside Phoebe Bridgers. Her big hit 'Pedestrian at Best' got the Lynks treatment too!
