After releasing ‘I Don’t Listen To You’, UK scream rap artist Delilah Bon took to social media to say that she’d be open to video submissions from fans for a music project. Moments after the announcement the artist gained 50,000 additional TikTok followers and 10,000 streams on ‘I Don’t Listen To You’ via Spotify.

Today on International Women’s Day the music video for the single, and as anticipated it's a big, fat, feminist fuck-you tos misogyny. Vocalising reclaiming ownership of your own body and twerking your way out of the hellish, arbitrary expectations for women in society, the song's a banger - and now it has a video to match.

Merging hard trap beats with screamo lyrics, with her fluorescent pink hair, Delilah Bon is an artist whose entire ethos supports deconstructing conventional stereotypes planted within society. In ‘I Don’t Listen To You’ Bon has quite literally curated the perfect anthem for your hot girl summer.

Embracing all women, ‘I Don’t Listen To You,’ is a track that goes above and beyond for self-love and acceptance this International Women’s Day.
