Fusing jazz, grime and afrobeat, 'Free My Skin II' is the latest Steam Down track from their forthcoming release Five Fruit. This track's a tribute to London’s beautiful jazz scene, with a twist.

The follow up to previously released single, ‘Empower’, ‘Free My Skin - ll’ carries with it Steam Down’s essential energy. Its complex instrumentation mixed with powerful lyricism and unrelenting atmosphere all come together to create a song complete for summer heat.

This single previews the groups eagerly awaited debut EP, Five Fruit, which fans have been craving for w a while. After performing at Glastonbury and headlining Boiler Rooms Festival, it’s fair to say that Steam Down are a band in demand.

On the single, frontman Ahnansé has said:

“The track runs through the veins of Steam Down. It’s one of the first ideas we jammed around within the earlier days at the first events we threw back in 2017. The song is all about releasing energy, feeling free and liberating ourselves from the illusions that hold us back in life."
