More about: Sunflower Bean
Sunflower Bean are back with their first new music as a band in a little while. 'Baby Don't Cry' is an indie-tastic pop song that comes with news of a 2022 tour.
Their first new material of 2021, 'Baby Don't Cry' mixes melodic hooks that hark back to early '00s pop, a sturdy, fuzzy guitar riff and echoing backing vocals that Wolf Alice and Wings of Desire would be proud of.

Though they haven't released music since 2020, the group have been busy. They opened for Bernie Sanders and The Strokes, while vocalist Julia Cumming has appeared on Yves Tumor track 'Strawberry Privilege' and Manic Street Preachers' 'The Secret He Had Missed' from their recent album The Ultra Vivid Lament.
Sunflower Bean are rejecting Instagram and other instant delights on the new one: “So many things in our lives are disposable. Content and news is consumed and discarded leaving us unfulfilled. ‘Baby Don’t Cry’ is about enjoying the real. The things right in front of us that give us meaning and how sometimes, even sad songs can give you that warm feeling of hope.”
