The Scottish Alternative Music Awards are back for an irl ceremony this year, taking place in Glasgow on 27 November. Today, the event announces the awards up for grabs as well as those performing on the night.

The fantastic LVRA, who we named a "pending superstar" will perform at the ceremony, plus Union of Knives and TAAHLIAH. 

A team of special nominators will select the shortlist for awards including Best in Rock/Alternative and Best in Hip-Hop.

Awards founder Richy Muirhead said: "Right now is a great time to be celebrating our rich music culture here in Scotland and champion many artists who have been releasing music despite the ongoing challenges of COVID-19."

Best Newcomer

Best Hip Hop
