More about:

Long-time Gigwise faves Nation of Language have signed to PIAS just ahead of their sophomore album release. A Way Forward, out on Bonfire Night, also gets another single today in the form of 'The Grey Commute'.

Knock knock goes the percussion on 'The Grey Commute', those familiar '80s synths soon joining it for a deceptively upbeat song about the soul-sucking nature of late stage capitalism.

Vocalist Ian Devaney said of the single: "In some ways ‘The Grey Commute’ is one of the more upbeat songs of the record, but in truth it’s one that was born out of much more depressing stuff. As I was working on the lyrics I had a kind of fixation on terrible tax policies, our cultural addiction to meaningless consumption, and it all got swept together into this punchy, kind of fun track."

A Way Forward Tracklist:

2. Across That Fine Line

4. Miranda
