More about:

Spector have shared a new single as they continue to tease their forthcoming third album Now Or Whenever. Interestingly, 'Country Boy' will not appear on the album, but its release does announce a new release date for the LP of 7 January.

A leisurely bassline and feedback-heavy licks feed through this gorgeous sad boy anthem. Marvel, as always, at the brilliance of Fred Macpherson's lyricism here:

Fred said of the single: "Country Boy’s a mini epic torn between glam and glum. It didn’t quite make it to Now or Whenever but almost acts as a coda to the album."

Now or Whenever Tracklist:

  1. When Saturday Comes
  2. Catch You On The Way Back In
  3. Do You Wanna Drive
  4. Norwegian Air
  5. Funny Way Of Showing It
  6. No One Knows Better
  7. I’m Not Crying You’re Crying
  8. Bad Summer
