More about: Shelf Lives
South London duo Shelf Lives have released their second ever single, ‘Mark Twain’, a taste of their upcoming mini album Yes, Offence, which they have announced today.
‘Mark Twain’ is a wonderfully warped slice of trash-pop, with each pop-tinged tone being accompanied by a sound that’s much darker and off-kilter. Be prepared to be put on edge.
'Mark Twain' follows the duo's debut statement 'Shelf Life' last month, a song that lead us to call Shelf Lives "a trash-pop electronic-punk outfit with similarities to Kathleen Hanna's Le Tigre and Peaches".
Speaking of the track, signer Sabrina said: “We’re in an age of self-expression which comes hand-in-hand with opinion. We’re being told by each other who we can and can’t be, what we can and can’t feel and how to express it."
To coincide with the release of, ‘Mark Twain’, SHELF LIVES have also announced the release of their mini album, ‘Yes, Offence’, set to be released in April 2022.
