The Record Store Day Unsigned competition returns, and in 2022, Gigwise are involved! Announced today, the annual nationwide contest—whose winner will have their music pressed to vinyl courtesy of Sound Performance—is open today.

Unsigned musicians who would like to see their music pressed to vinyl—and to have their profile raised by winning—have from today until 21 March to submit a one-minute video showcasing their music here.
Gigwise will be one of the judges for the competition this year, alongside Sports Team's Alex Rice, owner of Pie and Vinyl Steve Courtnell, Chrich Marskberry, Managing Director of Sound Performance and a previous winner of RSD Unsigned—Sister Cookie.
“New music is in an incredible place at the moment. I’m really grateful for everything Record Store Day do, and I can’t wait to be one of the first people to hear the artists that will ultimately replace me," Alex Rice said of his judging spot.
