More about: Nicole Faux Naiv
German-born Nicole Faux Naiv is making herself known with her dreamy new single ‘Imaginary Boy’, taken from her upcoming debut album Moon Rally, which is set for release 8 April on Bronze Rat.
‘Imaginary Boy’ sounds like an orchestra meets a lullaby with glimmering synths throughout, and the result is almost otherworldly. Her Russian and German background has a big influence on the music that she creates, as well as her love for ‘90s Russian post-punk and French synth-pop. She describes this multi-faceted sound here:
“When I created this music, I had all kinds of influences in my head, lots of fragments from different music styles. A lot of the songs are about dreams - daydreams and normal dreams and also memories from my childhood. You have these different fragments of memory and some of them are very colourful, and some of them are very strange.”
Moon Rally arrives 8 April on Bronze Rat.
