Sister Cookie is helpless to the charms of a lover, played by Spencer Evoy, in her new single 'Ain't No Good (But It's Good Enough For Me)', a jazzy explosion with two exceptional vocal turns.

Some stabs of electric guitar and crystal clear production sexes up and modernises a a classic slice of big band jazz. It's part of the singer-songwriter's debut album In The Blue Corner, which is out in May via The Liquid Label.

Sister Cookie said of the cut: "I wrote this to track to have a word with myself about how I was feeling at the time - so that I never allow anyone to make me feel that way again.”

In The Blue Corner had a limited vinyl release in November 2021.

Alongside Gigwise, Sister Cookie will judge on this year's Record Store Day Unsigned Panel, having won the competition herself in 2020.
