Endlessly easy listening, DRCY is a new name in gentle RnB. Inspired by the likes of Daniel Caesar, Olivia Dean, Mahalia and other big names in the world of groove-heavy mellow signs. ‘Small Talk’ finds her swimming in the same soft pools.

Dividing her time between London and Liverpool, DRCY’s musical streak stems from her childhood. Raised in a household of musicians, old RnB and slow jams were always playing in the kitchen, and the influence is super evident here. With effortless vocal riffs and a classic groove, ‘Small Talk’ feels like the culmination of all the sounds of her youth.

Stepping into a fresh confidence with flirty lyricism, DRCY said: “I want my music to inspire people to feel good in their own skin, to feel sexy in their own skin. And I hope that everyone who listens to my music knows that life is not as serious as you’ve been told.”
