More about: Jamie T
We've had a classically Jamie T upbeat track in opening statement 'The Old Style Raiders' and today The Theory of Whatever — Jamie's first album in six years — gets another single. 'St. George Wharf Tower' is a heartfelt indie breakup cut that hope his ex-lover is "happy now".
Jamie headlines the John Peel stage at Glastonbury this Saturday night (25 June).
The Theory of Whatever got its start with 'The Old Style Raiders'. With 180+ tracks written since the release of his last album, 2016's Trick, Jamie didn't now where to begin. Then: “I went home one day, and I found this track that I had recorded, pretty much fully finished. And I was really upset, because I realised that I'd spent the last six months asking other people to tell me if something was good. Then I heard this track and I just immediately knew I'd kind of found my path.”
The album announcement follows recent 15 year anniversary celebrations for the seminal indie record Panic Prevention.
The Theory of Whatever arrives 29 July via Polydor.
Issue Four of the Gigwise Print magazine is on pre-order now! Order here.
