Blasting into the new year, English Teacher are back with new track ‘Song About Love’. Paired up with the iconic Speedy Wunderground, the indie quartet continue down a singular path of their own unique sound on this one.

Pulling back to dabble in simplicity and sparsity, they’re playing with the topic of mundanity in every layer of the track. Swapping out grand gestures of love for household chores and simple keys, the band have always had a knack for building an atmosphere from the words, to the synth sounds to the finale.
Talking about the track, vocalist Lily said: “It’s a pop song about doing chores instead of doing someone else, and how even songs with social or political themes that analyse contemporary discourse, rather than lyricism about tired themes like romantic love, still come from a place of love, or lack thereof.”
The start of what's sure to be a busy year for the ones-to-watch, we’re keeping eyes and ears peeled.
