Amy Winehouse has revealed that the reason she cancels gigs is because she’s a “perfectionist.”

Winehouse has cancelled a number of shows throughout the summer months, including last minute cancellations of scheduled appearances at Summer Pops in Liverpool and the Oxygen Festival in Dublin, last month.

At the time she cited “exhaustion” for the cancellations.

She has told ITN, however, that she’d rather not make an appearance if she feels that she won’t be able to give it her best.

"I don't ever want to miss a gig, but sometimes I just don't feel up to it," said Winehouse. “I know it's last minute and it's really irresponsible, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I'd rather reschedule a show than do it half heartedly."
