'Employment' is favourites...
Mark Ronson, has compared the Kaiser Chiefs’ “razor-sharp wit” to that of The Beatles.
Ronson, who is producing the band’s third album, also revealed that they’re debut LP, ‘Employment’, was one of his “favourite albums of the past ten years.
Ronson is working on the band’s new album alongside fellow producer Elliot James.
Speaking about each band member, Ronson said that “each one of them in any other band would be the funniest member of that band”.
“It’s that classic…almost like the Beatles when you see those early press conferences and they had that razor-sharp wit.”
The producer, who also works with Amy Winehouse, said he was hoping to “capture the energy” of the band.
“I’m a huge Kaiser Chiefs fan – I mean the only reason I met them was because I did a cover of their song ‘Oh My God’ because it is strictly one of my favourite songs and [their debut album] ‘Employment’ is one of my favourite albums of the past ten years,” Ronson added.
As previously reported, in an interview with Sky News last Friday, Ronson revealed that he had stopped recording with Amy Winehouse because the singer was “not ready to make any music”.
